Ok, I have to ask...

what is a stickie or stick built trailer? I'm picking up on most of the rv jargon but that one has me at a loss. Is it a travel trailer with a wooden frame??

A Stickie or stickbuilt trailer is simply a conventional built trailer, the body of which is built with a frame like a house. Then panels are added to form the walls floor and roof. The framing referred to here is the structure, not the trailer frame on which it sets.
A molded fiberglass trailer body is formed from fiberglass and has no wall framing on the outside walls or roof.

Many homes are built with pieces or sticks of standard dimensional lumber IE 2x4s or 2x6s thus the tern stick built . Many trailers are built in the same manner using wood, steel or aluminum studs similar to a standard home thus the term stickies . This type of construction works well for buildings that are set on a foundation and are permanent ,but not so well for trailers, which move. The trailers have too many weak seams which are sealed with caulk and leak over time . Fiberglass trailers have few seams and are basically a monolithic structures

Lol! Glad you clarified that one! I would have thought it was an acronym for something else.
