Wow Neck. Thanks for the update. Sounds like they may have gone up considerably since 2010...but that's been 4-1/2 years so that makes sense.

If I could get out the door at $11500.00 I would buy new. Looks like This winter I might be trying to locate a turn key used one so I'm ready for the spring. The used ones really have a good resale. I guess due to the cost of the new ones.

That seems high for a 13, was that maybe for a 16 or have they just gone up a lot? Hopefully someone who bought one recently will chime in.

My wife and I have been long time tent campers. We bought a Boler last year to get out of a tent and off the ground and also to allow us to take some extended road trips when we could get away from work. The Boler had a good shell and frame but not much else worth mentioning. I gutted it completely and replaced just about everything. It's now usable and comfortable for us. The investment didn't break the bank and we can sell it anytime and likely recoup a large part of our investment. We intend to use it for about the next five years. At that time we should both be eligible for permanent parole from our employer. Our plan is to sell it then and move up to a larger FG trailer for really extended road trips.

I would suggest a solid used FG trailer for a first time purchase. If it's not for you it will be a snap to sell it.

Out here in California it is possible to rent Scamps. Perhaps there are places near your home that do the same. It's a great way to "test drive".

Try putting an ad in your local craigslist "Want to rent small fiberglass trailer" I see them out here all the time and those that are getting ready to sell often scan the current ads for prices. It's free.

I live really close to Neck, going to try to get a block of time where he and Mrs. Neck can look ours over, see one up close, and see how it fits. Eggs are rarer than rocking horse manure around here. Mine is going on 20 years old, and has no bathroom, but they really haven't changed too much in most of the important features.

Neck, I'll PM you to set up a meet, just that right now when I thought things were calming down around here, well, let's just say I've had a rough week.
