Looks like a Chevy Blazer TV, perhaps a 70, 71 or 72? Probably has a small block 350 and a 3.08:1
axle which is a bit tall for towing, but with a short duration, high lift cam, dual plane intake and tri-Y exhaust headers it should handle that
Scamp delightfully.
I love Blazers for towing. They're rough and tough and with their short wheelbase, you can make a U-turn on a narrow two lane road or get into that back pump at the supermarket gas station. With a Tow Rite hitch, I can back into places I cannot drive back out of!
While I like the "looks" of the earlier Blazers like yours, I was unable to locate one at a reasonable distance for a reasonable price, so ended up settling for an '83 with a 6.2 liter diesel. With a Banks turbo it performs similarly to a 350. The biggest challenge has been upgrading the 700R4 automatic to handle the torque of the diesel. Unfortunately this has been very costly, negating any fuel usage savings and more, I'm sorry to say.
Otherwise it is about a close to a perfect TV as I could want. Hope you find your Blazer the same and wish you many happy miles!
