Stealth camping would be tough in those rigs.

Looks like a Chevy Blazer TV, perhaps a 70, 71 or 72? Probably has a small block 350 and a 3.08:1 axle which is a bit tall for towing, but with a short duration, high lift cam, dual plane intake and tri-Y exhaust headers it should handle that Scamp delightfully.

I love Blazers for towing. They're rough and tough and with their short wheelbase, you can make a U-turn on a narrow two lane road or get into that back pump at the supermarket gas station. With a Tow Rite hitch, I can back into places I cannot drive back out of!

While I like the "looks" of the earlier Blazers like yours, I was unable to locate one at a reasonable distance for a reasonable price, so ended up settling for an '83 with a 6.2 liter diesel. With a Banks turbo it performs similarly to a 350. The biggest challenge has been upgrading the 700R4 automatic to handle the torque of the diesel. Unfortunately this has been very costly, negating any fuel usage savings and more, I'm sorry to say.

Otherwise it is about a close to a perfect TV as I could want. Hope you find your Blazer the same and wish you many happy miles!

Cool

Is it Orange outside? well it should be inside too. With some pinstipping, white laimnate, orange pacman video game edging and a HF powdercoating setup(orange & chrome). It's a breeze.

I started with a good shell, it was pretty chaulk. I completely stripped the exterior of all accessories, same with the interior and just started putting it back together with new or modified stuff. Oh i added the bathroom also. no sink just the toilet.

Next project is yo update the ac system. I took a small wall unit and vented two 4" tubes into the bottom with outlets inside. I really had no luck. too much positive pressure. So now im looking for an idea how to install an ac unit. I thinking of making the floor below the table rase and lower with an ac unit. What do you think? Im ready to cutter loose..
