Original travel trailer

I think it's a Conestoga. Too bad they didn't have fiberglass back then.

And now the ensuing argument. Does it require a full 4 horse team to pull it , or could one get by with two mules?

With the cast iron stove mounted up front that is a lot of weight. I hesitate to say tongue weight as that appears to not be an issue. Also those tires look like they could hold up under most conditions, might need balancing. Might have to seal it a bit if you live in the PNW though.

It's a Sheepherder's Wagon. Similar design to a gypsy wagon. There are some good examples at the wagon museum in Cardston, Alberta.

The problem with whatever tow equipment you use, you have to fuel them even when not towing and you have to shovel up the exhaust in some places. Anybody know the cargo capacity?

What do you know, the original Burro was a tow vehicle.

They probably had a lot of sway. The tugs were probably old swaybacks, that is. At least they needed no gas!

Male mules have no need for either.
