That's not good news at all! I usually come here & just lurk, but felt that i had to wish you well & all.
I was diagnosed with MM 16 years ago & it's been a long journey. Stem Cell transplant, Chemo, Radiation, Fractured bones, Hospitalization, etc. they all can take their toll on your energy. What gets my energy recharged is to get out camping & just sit in Nature & take it all in! It also means just doing the things that you are capable of, not necessarily what you used to do (be gentle with yourself, but still be active). I believe we live in a wonderful time where a cure is just around the corner, we just have to hang in there long enough for the miracle to happen!! When your Wife is well enough , take her camping even if all she does is sit in the trailer, it's the change of pace that counts.
As has been mentioned, the IMF is a good place to gather info on this stuff. Also, try the Myeloma Beacon, A good place for news + a good forum.

Keep your chin up, wishing you well, Gary

Thanks for all your prayers and kind thoughts. She started chemo on Thursday and seems to have had a breakthrough since. Can't see how it could be the chemo that soon but I'm not knocking the improvement. She's doing more and harder exercises, walking more, is more able to sit without pain for longer periods. The pain control seems better. Personality wise, she's becoming her old self again and sleeping less. Our elder son is going to move in temporarily when she comes home. That'll be a blessing. He's a great cook. I am NOT.

In my thoughts and prayers also and she sounds like a trooper and I know that makes a lot of difference, that "can do" attitude goes a long way.

Bob,

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you and Grace!

What a great son you've raised! I'm happy to hear that he'll be moving back in to help with the cooking and that Grace is showing improvement this week.

Thanks for sharing...sending good juju your way!
