Our camping has come to a screeching halt

At least until September. Grace has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow. It is controllable but not curable. She has been in hospital and rehab for three weeks with two more to go. Treatment has started. When the pain is well under control and her strength back up, we may be able to go. Gotta be ready by the weekend after Labor Day for the second Michigan fiberglass rally. Knock on wood, cross fingers, toes, legs, arms, and eyes.

Sorry, Bob and Grace, I know I have been following your travels in your EggCamper and you guys seemed to enjoy the little egg after camping in your other rv. My thoughts are with you!

Bob and Grace, my prayers go out to you both! Hopefully its just a very minor setback and you will both be able to hit the road sooner then you expect! The power of positive thinking really helps.

Best wishes for you both. A dear friend of mine fighting long term cancer uses Juicing and accupunture in her fight. Juicing gives her energy to fight and accupunture deals with the pain and body issues. This helped her alot especially with the chemo side effects. A good positive attitude will get you camping soon.

Bob, Our thoughts are with you. As with any serious problem you need to #1 get informed. May we suggest the International Multiple Myeloma Foundation or IMF (myeloma.org) and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (mmrf.org). They are both well regarded and up to date.
You need an hematologist/oncologist who you can trust and work with. If you happen to live near a comprehensive cancer center you are fortunate as there may be a hem/onc MD with a subspecialty in myeloma.
Also you can check if there is a support group near you on the above sites. They tend to be extremely helpful with information and sharing thoughts and concerns.
Check your PM for our phone number. Your not in this alone!

Thoughts and prayers for both of you. I hope September finds you both back out in your Egg creating memories......

The one thing that is wonderful with our lil glass trailers is that they can sit and wait for us without issues. I know because that is one of the very reasons I bought the Casita. My DH has AD and as this disease has progressed the Casita has had less and less use. But it is the perfect rv for just this scenario. Your EggCamper will be waiting for you guys to get back on the road. Best wishes!
