Our fiberglass fleet is changing

Our fleet of fiberglass trailers will be growing by one then dropping by one over the next few months. Our fleet currently consists of a 1974 Boler and a 2008 Casita Freedom Deluxe, late last week we put a deposit on a new Escape 19'.

We cannot keep all the trailers so the Casita will be leaving but it is going to a good home, my sister-in-law . The Boler we will keep, it is just too cool and too much fun, plus we have put too much work into it.

Now begins the long wait, production date on the Escape is November 2014, so we will not be camping in it until 2015 ... for this summer we will continue to use the Casita and the Boler

LOL Congrats!!! With your collection of trailers I was wondering how long it would take you to add an Escape to your fleet!

Thanks Carol We love testing all the different models of FGRVs available. But seriously after using the Casita for a full year we find the main traffic area a little cramped (our Boler feels larger). We were introduced to the Escape 19 at last years Escape Rally and felt that the floorplan really suits our needs, likes and wants.

With longer trips planned once we retire (in 5 years) we thought it was time to buy now while we can afford it.

Congratulations on the Escape 19 purchase! I know you'll love it. I look forward to hearing about your build sheet and wonder about what mods you'll be doing to it over next winter.

Oh I understand. I like/love my 16' Scamp but having done a number of long trips with it - practises for when the times come that I can go south and stay south for longer periods of time, I fully understand why the Escape 19' caught your eye. Also the reason I recently upgraded my tow vehicle.... so I am ready to jump should I stumble on a nice used Escape in the not to distant future....

Looking good, Ian.

I went up to two trailers, buying a '76 Trilium 1300 a month or so ago. It will be a project trailer for my daughter, and I am looking forward to fixing it up for her, to give to her for her wedding present next May. She has offered to put in some sweat equity.

Thanks, we are super excited and looking forward to next year.
What is also cool is we can fit both the Escape and our Boler into one RV storage stall .... too funny

Not sure the degree I will take it to, but will make certain everything is working good. A part of me really wants to do it up nice, kinda like your Boler, so you may get hired for a consult this winter.

This is so true, Dave. I am very proud of her, as she is very much a doer, and keeps very busy. Though, she is not unwilling to receive if something is offered.

Fun spending other peoples money, eh?

The trailer is still out at our property NW of Sundre. Thinking of bringing it in sometime in the next month or two, just need to clear room in my garage for it.

My diamond in the rough. Think there is hope?
