Chester, we just returned from the fabled "Alaska run" - that is the most over-hyped trip on the continent! The Bow River Valley between Banff and Jasper is far better. Maligne Lake, Moraine lake, and all the spots in between have no rival anywhere. Mount Robson is only inches shorter than Mount McKinley and it is a darned sight closer. They are both 20,000' peaks and if you can tell the difference between a couple of hundred feet in a mountain you are a better judge than me.
