Cool Park liner Air Conditioner

To those who own a park liner with air.

Have any of you had issues with the air conditioner specifically with the water draining when in use.

How does the water drain to the outside?

We've used our AC only twice, but haven't looked to see where water would be going. I'll take a look next time we are out.

Hasn't been warm enough yet up here to fire it up...but soon Im sure, but I thought most of these smaller units are set up so it evaporates from the tray and doesn't drip much?

I would assume it has to have drainage. In humid weather they collect a lot of water. We were using ours this weekend and there was a very regular drip coming out and a big wet spot under the trailer.

Thank you ericw, you told me what I wanted to hear, I had envisioned that they may had forgotten to drain the unit at installation, It was hard to tell from the photos.

Don, Please allow me a clarification. Realize that I was speaking to the fact that I believe drainage is necessary as illustrated by my experience in my Scamp. However, I have never seen a Parkliner. Hopefully we were on the same page and my post is just making sure that was true.

Lightbulb

Greetings,
I don't have AC in my Parkliner 35, but one of the first things i did was go around the bottom of our rig and cover all eight of the weep holes i found on the bottom with regular sized nylon window screen and some black gorilla tape.

Anyhooo... the first time i put block ice in our stock ice-cooler (under galley) i noticed there was a water pool under one of the weep holes behind entry door sometime the next day. Then, when i removed the cooler i saw that the drain hose was simply placed in the lower area and water allowed to exit (per design) out of weep holes just behind door.

On the design. Digging into our PL like we have (removed and put back) nearly everything that is bolted down... I was impressed by the design which included the many weep holes. If there is any condensation on the walls it should surely drain out onto the ground...keeping things mildew free inside.

Cheers,
Thom

Hi Thom,
Never having owned a trailer or RV before, I'm interested in why you dug into all the systems and what you were looking for. Is it to make sure everything is installed properly, to familiarize yourself with how they look new, or what? Are there other useful tips besides screening all the weep holes That you would care to pass on, or a posting that lists them that you can point me to? Many thanks!

Cool

Hi PollyMarie,

If you knew me...you'd know that is just part of my normal-ness
I'm one of those rare males that not only reads the manual before powering up the new gizmo...but after doing so...usually looks for ways to take it down to the PC board...or in the case of our new PL...down to raw fiberglass. It was a fun adventure taking all the gadgets out and seeing how it was put together.

Best wishes on your upcoming arrival !
Thom
