My wife and I were in a large Camping World store and saw something called a "Patty Room". Basically, it's a series of panels that attach to an awning that can (if you get all of the panels) convert your awning into a kind of room--envision a sunroom, I guess.

We were impressed with the concept, but it looks as if it would end up running about $500 if you get all of the panels. Probably worth it to us for longer trips, though.

Do any of you use this? Is it compatible with the awning used on a Casita? (We didn't ask the salesman because we're already getting ready to spend a fair amount on a Honda generator. One expensive item at a time for us.)

Fiamma has just revamped their website....

here is a link to the add-a-rooms made for the Casita Canopy

Faimma Florida Room

Edit: The above link downloads a pdf. Here's their website list of Fiamma products, including the Florida room, in case you want to look around.

They are located in Orlando near the airport...

I have seen photos (pre-hack) of a Desert rally where one of the Casitas had one of these set up.

We had one on our tent trailer *shudder*. It was nice, extra bug free living space. If I remember correctly it wasn't too hard to set up or take down, but it did take up quite a bit of space storing the panels.

I have absolutely no experience in owning/setting up a TT screen room. But, I did see Gene (Webmaster at Casita Forum) and Nalene's screen room at the Oregon Gathering. Sweet! Their's is the Fiamma brand which I understand is made for the awning mounted on Casita at the factory. Gene said it's easy to put up and store. And, of course he has already made mods to it being the Mod King and all

Here's a link where Gene discusses the screen room: Fiamma Screen Room Redux, What's the verdict?

For some reason that Fiamma site will not work on my computer. The part with the information for the Screen Room and prices just comes up a blank screen.

Can someone tell me how much they cost?

Broke down and bought one last year from gowesty.com (it's a Fiamma)... and we love it. Doubles your "indoor" living space, and is very easy to set up.

I have read about several approaches to keeping the weather out between the awning and the RV.

What do you use?
