Unhappy

Just curious, how was the manufacturer you bought your egg from on making the initial promised delivery date?

Escape had mine ready a week early so I could use it on the vacation I'd booked, and the surprise was that they had managed to get the graphic for the name, Toad, and had placed it for me. They only had about three days lead time on the name.

They have their delivery dates right on. We ordered ours October 4, 2001 and was given the date of November 5. We were there and had our Casita by Noon.

Our Scamp was ready when promised. At the last minute, we couldn't go and pick it up so I called and asked them to deliver it...it was in my driveway four days later!

Scamp and Casita both nailed 3-month forecast target date. I wouldn't count on Bigfoot to meet their date!

Our Scamp was right on time, not too long after the rebuilt plant opened.

Our Oliver was also ready on the target date. I think all of the manufacturers have this down, understanding that many people have to pick up their trailers on scheduled vacation times.

When I ordered my Scamp I had intended on going to Minnesota to pick it up around Thanksgiving. It started snowing at my house in California so I called and asked them to deliver it. They said it would most likely be after the first of the year as they needed to fill the truck.

Lo and behold, I received a phone call in December and was advised my trailer had just left on a truck with several other Scamps headed to California. It would be a week for delivery to me.

Ha ha....3 days later the two fellows called me from about 100 miles away in the Bay Area saying they'd be at my house mid day the next day. They had alternated driving and drove continually. They didn't spend the night in Bay Area and arrived at my home about 5:00am. This was the weekend before Christmas 2000 and just 4 days after they left MN and had delivered 1 Scamp to So. Cal and another to the Bay Area. What a nice Christmas present.

Scamp far exceeded my expectations.

So, for a Casita, do you think it is still three months?? Very important, I can call tomorrow, just wondering if I could get a quick reply. I was thinking maybe faster now since the economy is so slow, maybe not so many orders?? I was hoping for a two month turn around, what do you all think about that?

Call tomorrow and you'll probably get an immediate answer. My prediction: five weeks.

We drove by Casita on the way to visit family for Thanksgiving. They had a few different models in the lot, one had a big red bow on it.
HO HO HO!

I got the advertising packet from Casita this week. It says: "We have several 17' Casita Travel Trailers ready for pick up."

We would really like to buy one (and prime the economy) - I just need to win the Lottery

Good luck,
