24 hours of fun!

24 hours of noise!

3 am "Rattle Rattle Rattle" *Wilson! Stop it!*
silence for a few minutes
3:07 am "Rattle Rattle Rattle" *Scoot, Slide* *Weeeow!*

If cats are so smart, how come they can't figure out they will NEVER get the ball!

I actually picked this thing up for the trailer. He took to it immediately and it sure helped him ease into being "home" when he went on his first trip. I put it on the useless dead back seat in the Burro. He hangs out there mostly anyway. He plays with it in his kennel in the car too.

BUT... never bring it into the house!

I don't even remember what it's called. It's the rolly ball thingy.

My three didn't like it at all. They played with it for a very short while and it eventually got given away to Value Village.

Little sponge (but harder) balls that they can carry around the house and throw up in the air--those they play with.

When Bonnie and Tao first met Jerry, they bought him this toy. Jerrry loves it. In the trailer, we use to take and put the entire unit in the closet at night so we could sleep.... then we learned the ball comes out in a split second and we put that in the drawer. Oh, it's nice to sleep now .

the only thing he (And the dogs) like better is the lazer pointer.

The dogs give up on it after a few chases. The cat will never figure out he can't catch it.

Yup - a very loved toy. Eventually, the cats got bored - they only play with it occassionally now (maybe THIS time, I'll get it!!).

Lately, the hounds have been playing with it - only their play is mostly one of them picking it up and racing around the house while the other one follows trying to take it away.

I got the cat a mouse-shaped laser pointer for Christmas. I can't think of anything he's been less interested in. Funny how animals are all different.

We got this toy for the kittens; same principle as yours, Gina. I bet this toy is quieter; there is a mouse in it that seems to use ball bearings to move, as it keeps spinning smoothly after the cats bat it. We got it at Petco, I think. The "big kitten," Toulouse, likes it too. (See the little one peeking out from behind the stuffed animal? He's afraid of the big cat.)

The biggest noise is the two of them playing with one another. It is amazing how much noise two kittens with short legs can make!

The second picture is the hiding kitten, Gatsby, playing with his favorite toy, a bell and tinsel on a string. I swing it a foot over his head and he jumps that high trying to get it. He may be a Munchkin (genetically short legs), but he can really jump! The brown Munchkin, Elanor (a hobbit name), just waits until it comes down and pounces on it.

They sure make us laugh!

I somtimes shine the laser pointer on the ball in the evil toy. THAT drives him wacka.

In the trailer, I don't think the pointer is a good idea..

Those squirts sure are cute!

My babies (a German Shorthair and a Boston Terrier) have a large wooden toy box next to the fireplace. You can almost see the lightbulb go off when one of them decides to "rummage" the box. They go over to it and stand and look for a few seconds. Then in goes a paw and they start to stir the toys around until they find EXACTLY the one they want. I get a kick out of it every time. That box was such a good idea! I'd give a whole dime to know what's going on in their minds while they are stirring the toys around.

I guess Murphy never did teach Maggie how to play checkers, did he? Took his secrets with him, eh?

My pup will do the same thing. Sometimes he just rumages through; other times he starts slinging them out into the room until he finds just the right one. Sometimes he wants one that still squeaks, other times he wants a rope. Like you said, Robert, I'd sure like to know what goes through their minds when they just stand over the box of toys just staring down at them. "Lemme see. Do I want a squeaker, a frog, a ball, a rope. Oh, the decisions we dogs must make."

If you have one Slobbering,Shedding Newf........Maybe you should not look for another one?

They make great toys for each other!

The slobber never stops.

They like to drive too.
