Cute Willies

The same could be said of Willie Nelson!! (Well, okay, except for the clipped part! --Willie N. just parts his long hair into two braids... maybe y'all should try that with your Willie?)

Hi,

Don't think B.K. would much care for camping, and then there is the cat box thing :(. The nice thing about cats is that they can be left in the house for a couple days without it being a problem. We are rarely both gone from home at the same time because we have livestock, the few times we have been both gone we had someone in to care for all of the animals. Willie has only gone camping with us once and that time it was at a horse camp. It was a bit of a problem because at National Parks you are not supposed to leave a dog in camp alone, even in your trailer. If they are quiet you can get away with it but Willie will bark if anyone comes close to our rig. Dogs are not allowed on the trails.

We would probably always take Willie if we were camping in the Casita though. We won't be doing much camping until Terry retires but because i am going to continue working he may wind up doing some trips solo. We mainly bought the Casita for Terry to use because our other rig is set up for camping with equines - our Zodi hot shower gets set up in the horse trailer which is great for camping that way. When using just the Skamper camper on one of our trucks and no horse trailer, no shower unless we set it up outside in a shower tent. That can quickly become a hassle if we aren't staying in one place for long. Also the camper is pretty close quarters for two plus a dog - much more compact than the Casita which seems like a palace by comparison.

Mary, we would have to make some fake braids for our Willie - maybe we could attach them to a bandana tied around his head. Wow, would that be a sight - he might look more like a little indian with two little feathers (his ears) sticking straight up! :u

Roberta

driving miss daisy

<img src=http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/uploads/3e1f1ae653e03IMG_0334.jpg/>

Here is miss daisy..she is a st barnard/hound mix. She is my 125 lb
lap dog. Im not sure how well she would do in a 'camping' situation as she tends
to be alittle neurotic about people coming around that SHE feels
don't belong. She is a *little* spoiled and she doesn't know that she
is a dog..

What fun!

I love the furry buddy pics even more than the trailer pics! Here's my travel partner and co-driver, ready to supervise my cooking on our first night in the Casita after we picked it up at Rice. His name is Murphy and he is a complete sweetheart.

Furry buddy pics

>> love the furry buddy pics even more than the trailer pics!

I'm with you, Robert. If I'm not mistaking, I think the idea for this thread came from our Mary F. even though I started it. Tell Murphy we said 'hey!' :wave

We need to bring this forward ever so often so those that are new to the board can post their furry buddy pics, also.

Murphy says...

..."hey" back atcha! Good idea to keep bringing this thread back. I got three more furry buddies that can help do that, too.

Introducing Cali

OK, since I let the ''cat'' out of the bag in the ''How do I love thee...'' thread, let me introduce you to my new kittie, Cali. Bad picture, but great cat.

She was a wild kitten (approx 6 mo.) when my favorite fellow moved to his new shop. He's spent the last six months taming her, and she was one of my Christmas presents. What a love she is. Had her in Doodle for the first time yesterday. She did a lot of investigating, then settled down on the bed for a nap.

It's the fiberglass; it has that effect on people, you know. Seems also to effect some animals the same way. ;)

:chatter Your Kibbie looks to be a Maine Coon (or Maine Coon type) We showed cats in the 70s and one of our breeds was Maine Coon. The other was Abyssinians.:)

cats

Calicos are my favorite, and probably always will be, but Kibbie looks like a great cat. I wouldn't turn it away if it showed up at my place. I think it's the eyes, or maybe the whole face.

Thanks for the comments:

Ches, Larry, Jana. and Morgan.

We think he is just a "mixed" breed. My wife raised Himalayans in the 70's. We have had dogs, cats, fish, and turtles over the years.

But never a yellow "dog" like Zeus :r (LOL)
