A while back there was a series of threads about various t.v,s antennas, and internet access while on the road. Well, the Trailer Goddess and I are on the road (well sorta...) with a short trip to the KOA in Lynden WA with an anniversary gift to ourselves. Before we left home, we purchesed a new lappy and had it loaded with a few basic programs. One of the FREE programs 'they' gave us and installed was a t.v. program which includes access to t.v. networking either through direct cable, internet t.v. or a small/short antenna that (I'm told) only allows local reception. The lappy works well but takes some getting used to and once \i get more of the bugs woked out, SHOULD work well for us and our on the road needs. One has to realize that this only works where there is free wi-fi, someone else air access or with a 'stick' which requires a subscription to use and I'm told will work where ever one has cell phone reception.

The free wi-fi here at this KOA seems to dropping off and coming back on frequently and I'm told this is because of the volume of users. Friday finds us on the road again with a short haul over to Ferndale WA for their weekend FireCracker Run (wish you were here/there, Donna, lots of F.f'd Fords there....Fat Fendered Fords) I doubt therewill be much in the way of internet access there, but will check in again later IF there is.....!

onna lappy, Doug

Hi Doug, I'm happy for your find. I'm curious how one can get a tv signal via wifi...please keep me posted. What is the name of the application that does this?
