Pictures of my 13' Burro

Everyone has been asking for pictures so here are a couple of them that I got today. And wouldn’t you know it, I forgot to get the vin number off the tongue. I picked up this 13' Burro that needs more than your common TLC. It’s not a 14’ wide body. I don’t know where that idea came from. I have a good friend (Bob Ross) that will be restoring it for me per my ideas and directions. My lung condition is what's preventing me from doing the restore myself. I have all the parts and pieces that is needed to complete the restore. That was the first thing I asked about when I saw it. It's just stripped for paint which will be happening this next week. Here's a couple of pictures.

Looks like it has good bones. We'll love to see it all fixed up.

13 footer should be 77" wide OA according to old brochure specs. That sound about right, Gage?

Looks great!

And since it looks like you've been doing some body work anyway, let me point out my favorite exterior modification I did when I had mine similarly stripped down: based on a suggestion here (from Donna I think) I cut off the flange where the two half-clamshells meet - that thing that gets covered by the trimlok strip? and glassed over the small gap that is left behind (see the thread "Rucio's Winter Makeover" for more details).

It means there's less opportunity for water to get in, one less trim/gasket part I have to think about, and I think it really made the trailer look sleek. Well, as sleek as a fat marshmallow can be!
