It's not as exciting as it sounds though.

I work in two local towns/villages No Place and Pity Me. At the other end of the country is a town that should be in the USA: Westward Ho!

And, yes, its official town name does include the exclamation mark/point - the only place in Britain that does.

In Saskatchewan (strange all by itself), we have Moose Jaw and Primate. Just West of Conquest, mentioned earlier by Hazel, is Bounty and Fortune. We also have Elbow and Eyebrow. Candahar was more familiar to me as a town in Saskatchewan than Afghanistan.

The alphabet game is easier to play here. If you follow one of the rail lines out of Saskatoon, you will find at approximately 10 mile intervals:

Clavet, Bradwell, Allan, Zelma, Young, Xena, Watrous, Venn, Undora, Tate, Semans, Raymore, Quinton, Punnichy, Mostyn, Lestock, Kelliher, Jasmin, Ituna, Hubbard, Goodeve, Fenwood, Cana, Bangor, Atwater, Zeneta, Yarbo, Welby, Victor, Uno, Quadra, Pope, Oakner, Norman, Levine, Justice, Ingelow, Harte, Gregg, Firdale, Exira, Deer, Caye, Bloom, etc.

There are some gaps. Not all the towns exist anymore.

Don't forget Jersey Shore, in central Pennsylvania. About 200 miles from "the Jersey shore".

Not REAL but when I like to indi\cate some place out in the boonies I will say a place like "West Undershirt, Nebraska" or "Bib-overalls, Iowa" and of course a COLD place would be "Snow Shoes, Minnesota". If ONLY they were real....
