How about...
A window decal, screen printed on that removable "clingy" stuff? Ya know, the stuff the car dealership or oil changing places use to remind you when it's time to have your oil changed?? That way, you could stick it on the inside of your back window, curtains and blinds wouldn't bother it, but it's still removable to clean the window surface.
Ooooh, I like the idea of a decal to help financially support/promote this site. I fear someday Michael is going to go in the poor house and we'll all lose out.:thumb

I agree member numbers are not used generally and may not be good to use for this project. It may be that the number could be optional. I for one would really enjoy seeing another rig on the road and be able to know who it was. The number seems to be the common denominator to link each of us to the forum. It also seems to be the easiest way to know who we are following without stopping or following the rig. It's good each of us has a say and that is how we can decide as a group if this is a good idea or not. You know I'm glad this country allows us to choose our own way.

My two-cents worth
I think we should offer BOTH the decal AND the license plate holders. The license plate holders are about $1 per holder if 100 are ordered. The price goes down with higher quanity.
We probably could not print seperate decals with numbers on them because of the cost of printing individual decals. But, we could leave a space at the bottom where someone can use a Sharpie marker and put in a member number or identification number.
Another motto would be: High-Class Fiberglass

hot topic
This has certainly generated lot of response. Well I read all the threads.I like the decal idea. the peel and stick and easy off type. Our oxygen has a long one across back like a rear belly-band 'www.bonair-rv.com' in letters 2-3" high and quite legible on the road.
How about a similar belly band type
'I'm a member of www.fiberglassrv.com'
then a smalller humourous logo?
I believe some of us -Michael or Mary? already has the lettering on their rig. It's not catchy but it would be very readable.
A licence plate frame could have a cutesy phrase.

Humorous Logo
How about a cartoony drawing of an Egg (the edible kind) on wheels being towed down the road. Perhaps a crack in the shell with an eyeball :E poking out? Just thinking out loud...well not really out loud.

Nope, not me. I don't even have a custom spare cover; I'm still advertising Casita Enterprise's 1-800 number.
I like the idea of the cling film for the back window... except I'd have to take it down while I'm camping... because I want to be able to :E :E out!! :laugh
Like the egg-roll idea for a graphic, too... and several of the mottos are good...
:ola :banana :dance
Y'all are getting us there...

clear window film
i was off doing a seach on vinyl stock . and came accross a clear flim that is removable that goes on the inside of the window.
8 1/2 by 11 sheets were about 13 dollars for 10. If you were to make a sticker 4 1/4 by 11 i think it might be readable and fit in to any jalousie window.

Logos
That is a great idea. I am for large letters(or numbers) in front to identify it on the go, but also maybe a bumper sticker or licence plate holder for the car too, since we dont always have the trailer when we travel, but would be nice to identify others even without their trailer. And it would gove you something else to do while on a long trip. The passenger can be looking up the name or number in the book. It would be fun to come back here and say we saw "so and so" on their way to where ever.

I like both Tim and Steve's ideas! My son's a professional artist with a specialty in cartoons/line drawings. Do you want me to see if he could give us some sketches to consider for eggs on wheels? (He has a pretty warped sense of humor which would go right along with this crowd.)

Al, I still can't read it! Will somebody translate it for me. It could be another blonde moment or maybe the dyslexia is getting worse.
