Plaque or decal

I think this is a good idea and would like to see it go. The idea of an ID number is very good but is there a way to bring the Casita number into play ? I would not want two or three numbers and ID numbers . I like the Casita host plan but havn't been able to get a number. Would this idea work here? This being the larger group could numbers be assigned with the cooperation of other fiberglass groups? :)

Hi Edward.
Good to have your input. I think there could be lots travel or owners groups which could be considered. I know I belong to several Classic vehicle clubs and have member numbers with them.
You know the bottom line is How much room do you have and again we can choose to do it or not. I think having something like this available for those who would like it is a good thing. As we get more input on the motto and decal or sticker we will be able to finalize and impliment the project.
Some more International mottos could be:
Wheeling Free in a Fiberglass RV, Funglass, Funglassers, Glasspack, Glasspackers, Superglass, Superglassers,

I would hope that if any of you are driving :steer behind me, you don't go look my number up 2 weeks later to see who I am - STOP ME and meet me and see my trailer!!! I would stop for someone if they had the fiberglass rv decal!

I think the idea of matching Micheal's font is good - where is Micheal with his opinion on this topic?? :chin

Iam with Lainey

Numbers need a bean counter.I rather count new freinds And a fiberglass rv sticker is the ticket.
hey i tossed out one design idea not bad i might say for someone who cant draw a good looking stick fiqure!
let see some of those creative minds out there !
maybe try and keep it bumper sticker size 4 1/4 by 11 1/2.
it might be a neat rally present just add event to banner.
cheers now to do friday night battles with virginias own mooseskeeters lol

Count me in

Personally, I would like to use ID numbers because while on the road we usually check out other campgrounds. While we are doing this we sometimes see other fiberglass rv's but the people are out. This way you can tell who owns that rv. just nice to be able to look up who people are.

Also, I like the idea of a good size vinal type where you can put it on the camper while camping and then put it on your car when your not camping. Also, very bright colors must be used so that it stands out!

Anyway that is my input. Bottom line it count us in!!!

How about a window cling something like this (size is too tall in my example, but you get the idea)
<img src=http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/uploads/3f1022bc8dc26back1.jpg/>
It could be something that is sported in the rear window of the trailer and/or tow vehicle.

Plaque or decal

Looks to me like we have two topics here , member numbers and decals.I like both and can be counted in when the time comes. The idea of license plate , mine is low and partially behind the spare tire.
Numbers above window, decal on spare tire cover workes for me. Keep the creative juices flowing ----. To coin an idea from another site maybe we need to post a poll of ideas?

:L

Greetings All!!

I have followed this thread, and I see merit to both viewpoints here. I agree with Lainey that it is way more fun to pull over and have a face to face meeting and put faces to people who we have chatted with for who knows how long. The one advantage I can think of of having the membership number clearly displayed on the rear of the trailer, is that it is a unique identifier that can be used by law enforcement agencies and will be a bit of a deterrant to theft. The serial number of transport trucks is displayed on thew outside of the tractor portion for the same reason. (V.I.N #####) This has been done fore a few years now. with postiive results. As many choices as there are owners, but all great ideas
Cheers:wave

chester

thanks for the clarification for Lex
I think the bumper sticker is too samll I like lainey's size. We do not have aback window , but a long cliny would be fine on across the back.

Poll?

I'm thinking a poll would be the best. I know there are several grand ideas floating around in this thread. Perhaps the moderators could get together and narrow the field. Their choices could then be placed in a poll format (similar to the "what brand do you own" poll). Once a nice representation of members has voted, we move on to the "execution" stage where we make this a reailty. What does everybody think?

what are we takeing a poll of?

inside cling or outside bumper?
Both!
to number or not to number?
Both!
personalize or not to personalize?
Both!
As a fundraiser or not?
let Michael decide!

I would venture to say that 99% of us has at least one inkjet printer.
If we find a suitable size stock 8 1/2 by 11 is available but that is kind of small 8 1/2 by 14 would be better and is stock size for printers.(wanting for answer from dealer on size availablity)
Let everyone make there own .
and if you are concerned about fund raiseing for the site Michael
does take personal checks and credit cards.
Start off with a basic design and go from there.
:cheers

Poll?

I think the ideas polled should be up to the moderators and web guy. However I think we should be polling the major design points so far.

Phrases or Sayings ideas...which is your favorite
Logo Ideas or No Logo At All
Individualized with member numbers or not.
Funding - How are we going to do it?

I feel these three things are the major design points of what we're trying to accomplish. The other items, such as Static Stickers or Glue type stickers are really "second stage" items that we should worry about after we know what it is going to look like. Just my thoughts...:chin :conf
