Trailer: Boler (B1700RGH) 1979

In addition to the Team Trillium / Outback article in yesterday's Edmonton Journal, there's one about a really nice custom 1950 Pontiac Sedan Delivery and customized-to-match 1972 Boler B1300 (13-foot) trailer.

I would provide a link, but not all articles are openly posted on the Journal's web site; full content is available only to registered subscribers. Edmonton-area residents can look for page 9 of section I, Driving (in the Friday, 2007 Nov 30 Edmonton Journal).

The trailer is called Pontiac Motel (the name is in fancy text on the trailer door) because is is matched to the car:
  • satin-finish white top over custom orange lower body, like the car
  • added fenders styled to match the car's rear fenders (actually built from moulds taken from the car), complete with chrome rock guards on the fronts
  • chrome 1950's car bumper
  • chrome headlight rings around the Boler's tail lights
  • accent interior parts (stove, sink) painted in the custom orange colour
I think this is the rig which I glimpsed briefly on the road during at the end of St. Albert's Rock N' August weekend, where the car reportedly won a second-place trophy in the street rod class.

According to the article, the owners are planning to take it to the Prairie Egg Gathering next year, so look for it there.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

Yes, as Doug said that's the same rig, judging from the photos with the article - which also mentioned the Langley meet. Thanks for posting the photo!
