Porn pops??
I am now receiving pop-ups on my FGRV email. When I click to go to the inbox I get a pop up.
"Darelle Zerba would like to add you to his or her online contacts list.
Accept/Decline"
There is also a box for typing in a msg. I think it is a chat type thing but I do not subscribe to any chat line, FB, Twit or the like.
These pop ups are not appearing on any other email accounts but they are on more than one computer with my FGRV email account. It is a real PITA.
I am not too computer savvy so without getting too technical,,, does anyone have any suggestions.
None of my anti virus programs are picking anything up...
Thanks in advance... Scouter Dave

Hmmmmm, Cause I just checked mine and I am not getting anything. I am wondering if it's your settings? And I am not a computer person, so I would hate to suggest things to look at in your settings to fix it, but hopefully someone will know what to do. I just useually search around till I find what I am looking for. But again, mine are porn free!

Sounds more like your e-mail account was hacked than anything happening because of your connection to FiberglassRV. I've been a member for nearly 10 years and spam hasn't happened to me (yet?). But, I'm careful when I receive e-mails from "unknowns" and just delete them without opening. I have a Yahoo e-mail account just for FiberglassRV.
Hope you can get it straightened out....

I get the same thing on occasion in my yahoo account, but it is not related to a specific website, I'm pretty sure that stuff is related to yahoo messenger and msn messenger.

I was getting one of those recently every time I went into yahoo mail, and yahoo messenger logged me as online. The latter is normal, but the popup with someone's request is not normal. After about 10 times of this I finally clicked "decline" and it hasn't come back.
I do use messenger to chat with my daughter sometimes when she's online. I also was able, until recently, to send texts to cell phones, but now messenger won't let me send a text to anyone's cell for whom I have no Messenger "screen name". Strange.

I would suggest downloading and running Malawarebytes. It is a antispyware program. Its one of the best out there and I think you will find that you have some spyware running in the background. It has saved me a couple of times now and some of my friends and cutomers. There is a free version as well as a paid version.

Porn pops? Sounds like a Popsicle that would sell well.

Did a full scan with it yesterday. Nothing was found. I will try the 'decline' option. Thanks.

I was having problems with a redirect virus from this site. Oddly, every time I logged on here, my computer wanted to add an update - much, much more often than other sites. I did a thorough virus and Trojan cleaning and quit accepting "updates" here and no more problems.
I'm not a computer expert, but do play one for gullible relatives.

Sometimes when you sign up for things they ask for your email....then it gets passed on until someone gets it and starts spaming you....just like telamarketers do with your phone number

If you are using Yahoo mail you need to go into the Options setting on the top left and under Privacy change the setting to "Block all users not in my Contacts List" and under the General setting change the Sign Out setting to "always sign out everywhere".

You might already done this...
Have you try turning on Pop-up blocker in internet explorer?
From the top drop down menu in internet explorer - Tools -> Pop-up Blocker -> Turn On Pop-up Blocker.

When I read the title I thought it was going to be an X-rated Breakfast cereal along the lines of "Corn Pops", LOL!

Pop up Blocker was on. I set the bar to High. Did the decline thing and those addresses are now on block. Have not had any more since the A.M.
Thanks for the suggestions and help... D.
