possible scam..anyone been scammed by this person

Hey guys long time no see. I found a 16 ft scamp on craigslist. Kind of a to good to be true price don't you snakes go trying to get it befor me if its not a scam ....anyways this is the email I recieved back and my scam radar was on high alert. Anyone deal with this person? The images given on the license plate does not look like a washington licesne plate (no big deal but one for the radar to pick up on)
If the link works its alot of images but I'm just checking if someone has recieved this befor from this person. I WILL NOT SEND MONEY don't worry about that. but again I just wanted to get a feel and see if he is trying this with othere

name was william stromme and the address is a gmail account. I google that name in my state and only 3 came up 2 of which were men in there 90's so I'm guessing its not them.

email
The camper is not sold yet. It is in outstanding condition is excellent with no issues at all; all the appliances are in working condition . Clean interior has no unpleasant odors of any kind (i.e.; pet, smoke, musty, etc.). Main floor doesn't show scuffs and blemishes. Carpeting and upholstery are in very good shape. There are no roof leaks of any kind. There is no water damage. Exterior shines nice, colors look good .It has a clear and clean title, free of all liens and encumberances.
I have to let you know that i left town a few days ago because i have to help my daughter organize her wedding, and i may stay here a while, but this is no problem because i`ll sell it through C4U services. I guess you used C4U before, if you didn`t let me know because i met people that never used it and i will explain how it works in detail. I want to sell it now because i need the money for my daughters wedding so if you are interested in buying it now let me know

Regards,
William Stromme

If he will not take a check or bank check, I'd walk.

So - he is NOT there to sell it to you?

Hmm - helping his daughter organize her wedding is a slightly "better excuse" than a couple of folks that I was scam-baiting a year ago. One was in hiding from her abusive husband, and one was working as a casino dealer on a cruise ship. (Therefore it was not possible to meet in person, but if I just send the $$$$....).

However, both were quite happy to work through some "third party service" to let me pay for things.

If you cannot see it, touch it, explore it and otherwise confirm that it actually exists - its a scam

Look at the title and registration - are they in the same name?

Look at the driver license of the seller - is it the same name as on the trailer registration AND title?

I have received the "C4U" Scam email before with the exact same wedding excuse. Different trailer though and it was last summer so looks like it's coming back around.

We purchased our Scamp from a retired couple who lived in a suburb just south of us We agreed on an amount and I told them I would be back with a cashiers check from my credit union the next day." NO GO" I gave them the credit union phone number and address so they could verify the check " NO GO" I asked them why "CASH ONLY" and they showed me page after page of internet printouts about phony cashier checks . The scams are being worked from both sides seller and buyer. I was lucky the sellers in my case had a title that matched their home address plus receipts for everything they had done to the trailer since day one all showing the sellers name and address
We went to the Minnesota DMV office and we exchanged the cash after the DMV checked and transferred the title

Well of course after transferring title I'd pay in cash but you can always take the person to your bank where they can cash your check and get the cash. I like a paper trail, all cash deals can cause you other headaches, particularly in excess of $10,000.

His next reply... Pffffttt

I'm pleased you are still interested. Like i said before i'll explain the Consignment4u concept, their website is consignment4you.com. They are a chain of ebay drop off stores and they offer their services for craigslist users too. They picked up the camper from my home within a few days I left the town and intended to sell it when i got back (if you ask why i'm selling it now when i'm not around), but the wedding costs too much and i need to sell it now to help my daughter get married. They will take care of shipping, payment and title transfer(it is already signed by me and notarized so they are empowered to do this ). So if you want to purchase the camper, all you have to do is to register on their website. After you are registered with them an invoice will be sent to you. There you will find out more details about this sale like how to complete the payment, shipping process, insurance, etc. Afterward you have to complete the payment. They receive the payment and start the shipping process. You receive the camper and you have 10 days to inspect it and see if it's exactly as described. If you decide to keep it, you let them know and they will transfer the payment to me, if you decide to return it, they will give you a full refund back and return the item on my cost. So you can be sure the camper is exactly as described because i wouldn't sell something that i know it will be returned and loose extra money. The shipping cost is already included in the price listed on craigslist so you don't have to worry about that. The process is very simple, it probably looks a little complicated from what i explained but it's not and for a better understanding of how their service works you can check out their "Selling on Craigslist" page. I would advise you to read the Selling on Craigslist page before you register so you can be sure you understand how the process works. Let me know if you are still interested and if you have questions please ask, no problem. Also, if you don't want to register on their website for any reason, you can send me your full name and shipping address and i will forward it to them, but it's better if you register yourself.

Thank you
PS: I am sorry for the long email but i couldn't explain the process in less words.

If someone has to go into that much detail, they're lying lying lying. If they're really interested in selling, and the camper is that really that fabulous of a deal, then you've already lost out to another buyer by this time...... the good ones just don't hang around. S C A M

This guy must think I'm some kind of dumbass

Now I'm just trying to get his phone number

The camper is kept in the C4U warehouse from WA.They picked up the*camper*from my home within a few days *I left the town.
If you want to arrange a local pick up, please contact the company and see if they can help you.
Is not in my power to make this happened, because as you know i'm out of town.
Also don't forget that you have 10 days return policy. In these 10 days you will have the opportunity to test the condition of the item. If the item is not how you expected then a full refund will be accepted.I will support all the return taxes as seller but i don't think this will happen because it is in 100% working condition, as described in my ad. Also don't forget that between us is a company. The payment and shipping will be handled by them. Both of us will be protected and i am sure that everything will go straight and clear. Is not the first time i am using their services.I used their company few months ago and everything has been finished as i wished.(without any problems for me as seller and also for the buyer).
When you are ready to go forward please click on their register button from consignment4you.com.

Regards,
William Stromme

I am curious with ads and replies like this. Missing noun determiners and mistakes with tense forms strike me as common mistakes of non-native speakers. I would not be surprised if this person is not even in the US..
