Hey, everyone. The Kelty
awning link got me
thinking. I happen to have a T@B dealer close by and have oggled their goods. One thing I've always liked is the curved
awning. Well google is my friend, and I found the following site:
http://www.sailmakerssupply.com/prod_detail_list/48
The flexible
awning rail and welt look to be just the thing to make an easy up/down awning for an egg. Or maybe some window awnings.
PCV piping could be used to make the frame part, so how about it, is it doable?
Would the little awning screw things hold in
fiberglass or would you need to reinforce it somehow and with what?
This site also had window curtain rails and such. Plus fabrics in various blends and shades.
Just thinking, mostly, but it looks so doable.
