[quote]Robert is a Potter. He has a studio here at the house, and likes to make practical pieces... cups, bowls, vases, etc...
He made this for our Fiber Stream:

Attachment 12086

We call it an Elephant's Foot. I asked him to "throw" a vase-like container that was wider at the bottom than at the top. I then placed an Awning Arm Anchor inside and set it in Plaster-of-Paris.

We use a pair of them to support our awning while camping.

Attachment 12090

TOOOOO Cool!

Edit add: Your trailer looks really neat as well. I like the tandum axels, to bad Scamp doesn't use them on their trailers. The "bubble" rock guard looks nice, seems to be able to cover the window a/c when it is closed. Very neat rig.

As part of my job I'm called on every year or two to produce a work of art. I just finished one such work and thought I'd show off a bit.

This is a PC board for the next generation of IR thermometers. The actual size is .6" x 1.6".

Now it's your turn to show off a bit with any artistic item you're created.

Byron, I am not getting a photo of your art work, is it just me?

I just get this:

I'd really would like to see it.

Your guitar is beautiful. Reminds me vaguely of a Dobro.
I once had a friend who made a guitar from an old porcelain bed pan.
Thanks for sharing your imagination and expertise.

These are "whole cloth" quilts, for babies. Made of lightweight satin.

(They're shiny, so the pics don't do them justice. But, I'm posting 'em anyway.)

I have seen Mary's quilting and saying the pictures don't do them justice is an understatement. Her designs and her hand quilting are both amazing.

My husband laughed when I told him about the bed pan guitar.
He's quite fond of folk music, but current project is designing 7 string guitars - for a bunch of metalheads.

Awesome! I love it! I have a CNC mill in my shop and have done a few engine turning do-dads too. Which old car used to have a dash like that? Love it.

I outfitted my CNC mill with a router so I sketch Indian head, scanned, converted it to vector graphics in illustrator and then fed that into Mastercam to get the CNC code for each piece.
One off my most fun projects ever.
