Quartzite low cost stuff?

I have been told by other RV-ers that the prices for such things as awnings etc are simply so much better in Quartzite that is worth the trip! Any truth to this?

I am buying a new(er) glass trailer that will need an awning and an inverter, new 30# "profane" tanx and new batteries, and several folks have told me that it is worth the trip to "Q" to get this stuff, but (I'll already be in New Mex and parts of Ariz) Q would be a few hundred miles out of my way

Opinions/ideas/views welcome

After being in Quartzsite I would say that could be true in January, but maybe not other times. January in Quartzsite is one of largest, if not the largest, swap in the country.

Byron is right--there are vendors/"stores" set up during the winter but mostly only January; otherwise I don't think you'll find much there. 'Specially not now!

For us East Coast Newbies, what and where is Quartzite? During what part of January is this bonanza available?

TIA ~ Froggie
