Hi Larry and Terry----I am hoping that you had a little typo there,.....

The idea of using t-shirts from your travels, Bob, is a terrific one. No end to the memories that way.

I sew, quite alot actually, but haven't taken the time to learn to quilt. I know that I can use my machine to quilt and couple that with hand sewing. Time has been my enemy...I just never seem to have enough of it!

All of these quilts are lovely and if someone were truly enterprising, would definitely sell well.

Sadly, it won't be me making 'em!

Wife is a professional quilter, we have quilts all over the house and a couple different ones for each camper. She made a T-shirt quilt last year. They are a little different to make because the shirt fabric is not the same as the normal quilt fabric that makes up the rest of the quilt.

Agreed. T-shirts are made with knitted fabrics, which stretch far more than the woven fabrics traditionally used for quilts. I would think they'd have to be stabilized in some way in order not to deform when used in a quilt.
