Lil Snoozy's factory is in SC and would be a good one for you to consider. Scamp and Casita are also good choices. If you can get inside of each one, you will have a chance to evaluate how the floor plans feel to you.

You are wise to be looking at trailers with rounded edges and corners like the molded fiberglass. They will tow easier behind a Highlander than a boxy trailer could, meaning better mpg and less strain on everything.

It looks like the smallest Airstream starts at about 2X your budget.

Again, find out the exact towing capacity of you Highlander, look in the owners manual. For starters, is it 4 or 6 cylinder?

While still a stretch of your budget, I suggest you look at the lineup of Escape trailers. Less than an equivalent Airstream, and they are high quality fiberglass trailers.

Not a new company. Forest River has been around for quite a while. Just their cheapest and cheapest made trailer.

Escape has been around for 12 years and customers are lined up to buy them. The first available slot for a new trailer is in 2015.

I have considered Scamps, Casitas, the Airstream Bambi, and Lance trailers. I am very impressed with the experience and ideas that are going into the Nest Caravan. In short, excellent headroom, very thoughtful choice of appliances, great looks in my opinion, and a great floor plan. I'll reserve final judgment until a personal inspection, but right now this rig has my attention. I have no association with the company. Just like the ideas going into this new trailer.
