refer mod

Howdy, just throwing this out there in case anyone is interested with this mod. I've never seen this mentioned on this site. I've done this on the last three RV's I've had because of a lack of wall space for hanging pictures. I've taken out the stock refer outer door skin and replaced it with .080 clear Lexan. First I used a heavy but thin piece of cardboard and placed random pictures from past camping trips with double sided tape on that. Put the board and Lexan together and slid them back in the refer bracket slots, top trim and done. A number of my camping buddies liked this and have done it also. Very easy to change out to new pics as they come along.

At first I thought I was looking at the insides of the fridge and the mod was so you could see what you had without opening the door. But the pictures are a cool idea too.

Now if you could just make that door front into a lcd screen with hook up to your ipad for scrolling pictures, I'd get one.

It would be cool to have a picture of the inside of the fridge loaded with goodies.

What a great idea. I'll have to look into doing that, what a great place for snapshots. You should be proud.

I've used a laminated state map as a fridge door insert but not photos. Great idea and Stops on Our Travels gives a nudge to fading memories.

What a great idea! I'm always looking for ways to share/display photos in the trailer. I wonder if the icebox has a removable front? I've also thought of stringing a rope across the cafe curtain rod and clip photos/postcards on it...kinda like my attached photo but with pictures instead of banners.
