not the same thing but we had a hot water heater fire in ours. I had to reaplce the whole unit, a fellow camper who was passing by saw it and got our attention, the fames were eight inches by the time we got there. Afterthat we had the trailer gone through thoroughly by professionals to make sure everything else was ok.

I would like more information on the cleveland National forest as this is in our neck of the woods.

Frederick,

Congrats on the quick recognition, action and response. Thanks for all the pictures and info! I'm working on a '79 Fiber Stream and just added a refer gas line check to the list.

See you on the road.

Fred...been there done exactly that (almost). That same tube was cracked on a camper we bought years ago. If I remember correctly it was hard to find the exact replacement size tubing but we found something that worked.

Glad you didn't make toast with your loaf of bread!

Phew - THAT was a close one! Thank goodness for your knowing something amiss, and quick action to prevent a really bad experience. Plus, having your 'guardian angel' on duty never hurts, eh? We are so grateful you two & the 'Stream are OK and your weekend was still fun. Take care, L 'n D

Glad everything worked out and neither you nor Robert was hurt. I'm going to check the condition of my fire extinguisher today.
Might just buy an extra one!
