Im a cub leader in Nanaimo. we attend a service in a nearby small town called Lantzville
We attended an outdoor service following the march today
I was so proud of my pack, no fidgeting, just respectfull silence. we were in the very first row, and I think part of the reason they were good was the Legion's sgt at arms was 3 meters away, barking orders to the military personel (attention, at ease etc) I think he scared them straight with the first command.

A very long procession of wreath layers, Very moving that as a shear coincidence, an vintage air force war bird (from another, larger service) flew over as the rep of the polish fighter pilots laid a wreath. I couldn't stop a stray tear from falling at that point, very moving.

I don't think I'll ever forget that service.

Thank you, Lainey, for sharing that link. We'll add our appreciation for all those in service to our country. Lots of veterans here in Quartzsite and we've been thanking them all thru the day ... starting with D (USN during Korean Conflict). L 'n D

Thumbs down

I enjoyed it, it was very moving. Very meaningful! I also looked at one or two of the other versions, your title "Remembrance" and the version for Canadian Service Men and Women made me remember how many times our two nations have stood shoulder to shoulder. And are doing so as we "speak". Great Posting for sure.

Thanks! Again.

Thank you, Lainey, made me cry! I've always been patriotic and sensitive, but something about having a daughter in the Air Force has made me even more so.
