That is a beautiful campsite Gordon and I assume that is your Scamp? Where is this place and does it have a name?

Yes that is my Scamp from last year, and I plan to be back there (at a nearby site) in a few days.

Of course the more people that know about this wonderful State Park on the St, Lawrence river, the more competition there is for the limited reservations. But I can give you a hint.. check the filename of the photo

We have been to that campground Gordon. Did you do any others along the river. We drove through a couple to the east while we were in the area, but haven't been back to camp at any.

Just have to put in a plug for our AZ state park reservation system...

Last week I made a spring break reservation for 3 nights. Made it early because it's peak season- spring training and desert bloom. A day later I realized I had a prior commitment and needed to move the reservation 2 days later. Couldn't figure out how to change the reservation online, so I called the reservation number. A very friendly person answered immediately and made the change quickly. No hassle, no additional charge, same site. She even double-checked whether I was aware the site had no hook-ups. Arizona's reservation system gets high marks in my book.

Gotta love AZ state parks! $20/night for a spacious primitive site with free hot showers, and one $5 reservation fee. Beautiful location at the base of the Superstition Mountains. Hope to see some other fiberglass eggs at Lost Dutchman SP in mid-March!

Great to hear kudos where warranted, Jon. 👍All too often we just hear about the things that go wrong instead, and we know life for the most part is all good.
