ripples in gelcoat

I was giving Playpac its first exterior cleaning in probably decades, you know the tree sap, leaf litter, dust and dirt, road tar. I like to detail cars so this was fun, you get to know every inch of the body.

On one side below the window, if I look closely I see a very faint run of ripples in the gellcoat finish. It kind of looks like a railroad track and you can see the ties all in a row, maybe a 3ft area in length and 4 inches wide, itx only noticable to me since I know its there = could that have been caused by the side window flexing the body?

Could have transferred from the mold. Our Trillium 4500 gel coat has a number of interesting "features" (dips, bumps, curves) that are original features transferred from the mold.

If you post some pics, that would help to evaluate.

ripples

Thank you John, I assumed that the ripples was caused by the mold, I just didnt know. Its so faint to see, probably only I will know its there.

I have some photos to post as soon as I find my computer chip. I just cant believe the dirt that is up there, it will go away but it will take time - this has to be the dirtiest of the bunch. A challenge I will take on.

Regards, Doyle
