What's going on with the large number of Scamp 5th wheels now showing up for sale on the internet. Are they falling out of favor for some reason?

I'd say no. Historically fall is a favorite time of year to see the most trailers for sale. Owners have enjoyed them one last camping season, but don't want to take the time/effort to winterize or "put them up" for the winter. Some folks have to pay to store trailers and would rather sell than pay for 4-6 months of more storage before camping season starts again. Prices will start to drop (slightly) the closer to the end of the year too. In the spring, prices start to rise and trailer availability drops... camping season is just around the corner!

Could it be, that you're just more aware now that you're looking?

Donna's points all sound quite valid to me.

In addition, the Scamp 19' is such a rare product that the statistics of small sample populations becomes important. You can't assign much significance to variations in very small numbers... going from two listings to four, for instance, doesn't mean very much compared to going from 2000 listings for some common trailer to 4000 listings.

We bought our Boler when it was covered by snow in the fall. The owners had already bought the (bigger) replacement, and were anxious to sell. The price was quite attractive...

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.
