Name

I call my Casita "Otra." That's "other" as in "my other house," but also an acronym for "On The Road Again."

I considered "El Huevo Ranchero," but thought that "Otra" said it better.

(With apologies to Willie Nelson, who travels in a much bigger rig.)

RUNABOUT

The Fiber Stream has been named "The Runabout". I took possession of the trailer this afternoon. Not only has she been named, price shopping for her detail striping has begun.

Once the gelcoat is revitalized, I plan to complete her rehab by detailing the Starfleet Academy insignia on the open space to the right of the door. Lettering adjacent to the logo will say, “Cadet McShan”.

On the rear will be the logo of the Federation of Planets and the name RUNABOUT in all caps. Beneath the name in smaller letters, the phrase “Battle Class Prototype” will appear. I haven’t figured out my NC numbering yet.

A small Starfleet insignia will appear to the left of the door. A line of striping will run from the tip of the symbol and from the tail of the symbol. This double line of striping will circle the trailer

Yes, I thought about this. If the trailer were a 13 footer, it would be a shuttle pod. If it were a 16 footer on a single axle it would be a shuttle craft. The double axles make it a runabout which has battle class, spitfire capabilities. If it were a larger trailer, it would be a plain shuttle. The shape isn’t aerodynamic enough for it to be a flyer class scout and reconnaissance vehicle like the Delta Flyer.

Hi Robert, welcome back.
Perhaps I should consider 'Wow', an acronym for 'Weer op weg', the Dutch translation of your 'On the road again'. ;)

Casita name

The small park we walk each day has a gravel surface that draws snails to the calcium in the gravel. On most of our walks I am spending time picking up snails and placing them on the side of the path . I just don't like to see them smashed. One of my favorite movie scenes is in Merlin when young King Author and Merlin are on horseback , they stop and Merlin says he (the snail) has the right of way . Good lesson. Our trailer is Eggs- Car-Go Snail on back tire cover.

Small Egg name suggestion...

When we were showing the Scamp brochure to one of our friends they giggled at the 13' model and said it should be called Shrimp Scampi or Skimpy Scamp.:o I will pass those on to smaller rigs as it doesn't really fit our Scamp 5th wheel. But I did think they were kinda cute.

We still haven't decided on a name for ours but we have only had it home for a week and only had 4 nights of camping in it. I'm sure we will decide soon as we are planning lots of short trips before winter sets in.
