Question RV.Net Forum Q? Can't get into the Site, Anyone Else?

I have been posting there for years. Today I was on, then I was on a new page, still called RV.Net (with a Good Sam Logo before the RV.Net) with a lot of ad like articles & links. One link is for RV Forums, when I click on it, it goes to RV.Net RV and Camping Forum ? RV, Trailer, Camper, Motorhome, Camping and Campground Information which looks like it is right, but when I click on any of the choices, such as Newest, it just goes back the Good Sam Logo before the RV.Net again. Same thing happen if I try to enter any of the other options. This is the site I keep getting: RV.Net : RV

Anyone having this problem or have in the past?

If anyone is a member over there, would you please copy & paste this Questions to the Forum Technical Support and help me report my trouble to them. Give them my name over there which is DesertHawk.

Perhaps some there can email me with a solution, if there is one.

Thanks so very much,
DesertHawk

I'm not having any problems. Maybe it's been resolved since your post. I'm also using IE 9 on a laptop, if that makes a difference.

Thanks, Donna D.

I used your Link & it worked for me. Seems it has been resolved.

Now I'm fearful of using my Bookmark for the site. Ha!

RV.net was a mess all day yesterday and the day before. Lots of talk over there about it...seems most problems were associated with that particular portal, since Woodall's and several others were working. Sometimes. Though at one point the whole shootin' match went down!

This goes on every now and then over there. IT usually gets it back up in a day or two.

It was working for me early, this morning, now it was just not working but this comes up:

The service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.

Much better than what I had yesterday, anyway.

PS
Having these Forums handy is kind of Addicting, it seems. One gets in a Panic when one does strange things. Ha!

I wonder how many emails Marcus got over this latest web problem. I would not want to be in his shoes. What a tough job.

I have no idea where to go . . . .

Hi,

I am so sorry to be posting in the inappropriate link probably - but I just can't navigate myself around here. I am not computer illiterate either! If someone could direct me I'll listen.

I have a shelf on the right side of my Trillium 1300 that just does not stand up like it should. I took a picture of it and cannot seem to post it with my message (tried last night). What should that shelf look like and how many wire hangers are attached to it.

Greatly appreciated.

Janice

As best as I can understand url in posting photos, one must have another site to post pictures, such as PhotoBucket (a free site), which will give your a http and a jpg to the photos. Such as this:
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/attachme...d790fda1e7.jpg

With that you can use the little yellow square thingee with a mountain & sun design in the Message Bar (above where you type to post a message). Cut & Paste the http....jpg-ed photo in what pops down, it will then give it IMG & will work like an url. Like this: [IMG]http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f51/f51/f51/f51/f51/f51/f51/f51/http......jpg[IMG]

Bingo a photo!

Post Edit: I learned something myself, this site will add a url to the http....jpg photo automatically just by paste-ing it to the message with out using the yellow Mt Sun thingee. Wow! But for one to see the photo, it must be clicked on, such as this:
http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l...psb93bc715.jpg

Now that I think about this, I did know that, but let it go AWOL for a time. Ha!

As far as I know, you will have to join some such as PhotoBucket to be able to post photos from your desktop. It is a bit of a hassle & takes a little more effort. If there is an easier way, I'd like to know about it, too.

Good luck with your Quest!

By the way, PhotoBucket does give a URL link which can be copied, but it now seems to give people access to all the photos in your Album. Such as this one;

Or am I wrong? To answer my own Q, yes, I was mistaken. At least when I used my daughter computer, it will not. So I am learning things this morning.

Old Dawgs can Learn new Tricks! Excellent.

Put a smile on my face today.

Thanks for asking your Q. Have a good one.

Hope some of this Rambling has been of some help. Best of Luck.

The "belt and suspenders" influence is quite strong over there. Could be they are running a Dos or XP platform

Assuming you're asking about posting a pic at this site: you needn't go offsite to upload a picture from your computer.

1: Click on "go advanced" below the reply box at the bottom of this page.

2: When the new window opens up, scroll downpage, where you'll see "manage attachments". Click on that and another, smaller window will open.

3: First choice in that window is "upload from your computer"- click on that and it will automatically connect to the photo files in the computer you're using.

4: Select from those files and when finished, click "upload".

I tried that, and, I get the same message,

"The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 3 characters."

It is supposed to be a photo of my side shelf on the right - attached to the right of the stove - it has a square hanger hanging from it that does not allow it to be level with the counter - what am I missing - would someone please post a photo of their trillium 1300 side shelf over the goucho couch so I can see what's wrong with mine? Would be very, very grateful.

I don't think this site wants me to post a photo for some very odd reason.

Thanks all,

Janice

I don't think you're missing anything. That's not a table leg as you may be thinking.

Doesn't the bale either sit on or slip into the "hook"?

Thanks, yes it does fit there, but if I put it in the slot then it is on a huge slant so is unusable.
