Hi,

I am wondering if anyone from Atlanta is storing their camper around the Atlanta/Dunwoody area... and if so, where. I am having problems finding places that are reasonable and close.

Thanks,

LittleBit

It doesn't have to be all that close if its secure and cheap. I'm in Roswell - sometimes.

'Close' and 'reasonable' are usually a couple of counties away from each other. In a metro area, you'll pay a lot more because the land is more expensive. We found 'reasonable' about an hour out of the city - $10 per foot for the winter!

Putting our egg away for the season means a nice drive out into the country in November, talking in the car about where we've camped - and another in April to bring it home, discussing our camping plans for the months ahead!

Jones RV Park on I-85 at Indian Trail/Lilburn Rd. has a storage area. Although I have stayed there several times, I can't speak to price or security.

It is on the south side of I-85 even though Microsoft Streets and Trips shows it on the north side.

Man, I am so glad my mother-in-law allows us to store our Casita at her place in the county.

So, I guess I'll just keep looking. I'll check out the site off 85.
