Sadly we must tell you that Charlie C passed away this past Monday.

For those that got to know Charlie on FiberglassRV, you'll remember him as an individual who was always helpful and posted in a thoughtfully and kindly manner. Charlie joined the forum on February 17, 2004, more than five years ago. When talking about fiberglass trailers he said, "My favourite is still the 1960 Geographic...." the man definitely had good taste! At egg gatherings you could spot Charlie on his bicycle looking for fiberglass trailers that had joined the group... and he always introduced himself. As someone has said about Charlie "I'm not sure that friend is the right word. It is more that we were both members of the same congregation, fellowship or brotherhood. Even those words don't quite seem to explain it. We have all lost a (________?)." So for whatever your memories may be of Charlie, feel free to fill in the blank with your own word.

From the FiberglassRV moderators, our condolences to his family and all his friends.

Hi: All. It only took one visit with Charlie at Bolerama to know I was welcome in his camp.
Last time I emailed him about Niagara Wine Tasting he said his TREATMENTS were getting in the way of having fun.
I just know he is riding a camp path somewhere!!!

We were not able to meet Charlie in person, but learned so much from his posts and contributions to this forum. We hold Charlie's family in our prayers and hope they will take comfort from many wonderful memories. "Stranger, thou art the guest of God" - rest well, Absent Friend. Leslie & Dave

It's kind of hard to believe that we won't be seeing Charlie and his bike on our site again. He always wanted to see what we'd done since last year and his insights were always welcome. And he liked our dogs. We've lost a good one.

Our deepest condolences to Charlies family, We had the pleasure of meeting him at one of the early Rock Crusher gatherings and looked forward each year to his and Sandy's and of course Rocky's coming. He had the ability to come up with some very simple mods that nobody else had. great guy.

We lost a real nice guy, I met Charlie at the Bolarama a few years ago and like most who new him he liked to talk. I think Charlie most liked to show off his Casita and the many neat Mods he had thought of and crafted. Charlie had the best kept Casita I have ever seen. I am still trying to make changes that he showed me years ago to my Casita. I always admire someone who can think of an improvement and craft it just right, Charlie was very good at doing just that. I was hoping to see Charlie at this years gathering , I guess there will be more than just an empty space. Thanks for letting us
know, sad day.

I have read Charlie's posts many times, though I never had the pleasure of meeting him....bless him and his family and he will be missed, he was a part of our "family" here and I am sure a part of everyone, not only here, but to all that knew and loved him. R.I.P. Charlie, you are missed.
