I'd certainly be interested in any of these ideas and would hope to join in. I have dual citizenship and passports so that's no problem.
Something similar is the annual Southern Utah Tour in the Spring that lasts about two weeks led by a retired professional tour guide and limited to something like 12 trailers, mostly Casitas.

Cool My thoughts

I read once that if having a caravan, the slowest driver should be put in first place.

I can't fathom the difficulties. Just keeping up with one Washington Area Gathering, (WAG) like Taidnapam is forbidding. People sign up on FGRV and then communicate through Casita or Escape Forum or vice-versa. To top it off, they have different names on these different blogs.

It is a job just keeping track of who, what, when!

If a nonRv-er stumbled upon this caravan on a two lane road (note there are lots more in the rear view mirror), I'd be less than thrilled at the moving road block. Targeted departure time and arrival time seems the way to go with only a loose route in the middle. I think it is more considerate.
(Not my picture).

Steve,

All the caravan tours I've seen have a flex departure schedule. Sometimes two rigs will leave together but typically not more. It seems they leave over a period of hours.

Would love to meet other "scampers" but we live in south new jersey and seem to be a rarity. Anyone know anyone closer....ie not western part of the us? Donna

You have NO idea...

Sometimes it's like herding cats. But at the same time it can be a ton of fun keeping all the balls in the air

For the fun of it I did a search on the membership and there are at least 25 Scamp, Casita or Parkliner owners that belong to FRV in New Jersey.

Scouter 'Dave' - Here's another 'Dave' who'd love to join the 'Norm & Ginny' idea of a FGRV 'Caravan' through the 'Rock' - and other portions of 'Down East' too. We're not 'Working Stiff' - and hope have our rig back on the camping trail in a month or so.
Has the 'Scouter' sparked any other appetites ?

It seems we have 7 possible trailers for the Western NL Tour. Wow. If you haven't been, you'll love it. The other thing about going to NL there are all kinds of places worth seeing on the way... The Gaspe, the Cabot Trail, Coastal Maine, Hopewell Rocks.....

Dave, Ginny and I will be able to dream next weekend.
