The shoulders of the road were being sprayed with oil during my travels last week, the road guards signaled me to pass but did not stop spraying the front of my Scamp looked as if a black paint can had exploded near by.
I tried everything I could think of to get it off, simple green, orange power, oxy clean and many others., each would take very little off, finally in desperation I tried WD-40 sprayed on a rag, wiped it on and in a few seconds I was able to wipe the road tar off .
WD-40 you are my friend, I no longer have a spotted egg.
