Scamp Camp 2013 Dates?

Hello! Have been checking the Scamp Owners International website to see when the dates for next year's Scamp Camp will be but they havent posted it yet. I want to get early ressies now that I know what area I'd like to be in. Anybody know the dates for next year's Scamp Camp?

Melissa

Hey

It was voted on and decided at the camp which dates will be for next year.
You were not there yet but I was and I don't remember!

I think it is the week after this last one and you can not reserve a site at the C.G. until 11 months to the date before the reservation?

Go Figure?

Hopefully someone else will chime in to verify.

Ed

This rally map should help you find a fiberglass rally close to wherever you are.

You're not limited to Scamp Camps you know. You can take it anywhere and to other rallies!

That was a joke by the way.

Hummmm. I've probably mentioned this before... but, I really dislike a "branding" applied to any gathering. I mean, if you were a newbie and owned a Lil Snoozy... would you want to join a gathering called a "Scamp Camp." I mean really? Call whatever gathering you're holding, where you ENCOURAGE other brands to join in the fun... something other than a [BRAND] name. YMMV

BTW: Oregon NOGs are open to ALL!

Was it Yahoo groups scamper that was turned away from a branded Casita gathering? Or the other way around? I can't remember but you are right YMMV

well,,,,since scamp camp is organised by SOI,, scamp owners, it seems the right name. that being said , as i understand it they more then welcome any brand . as long as you show up and have fun.

The ladies next to me this year were in a big Class C Motorhome and are members.
They are just called Scamp Camp due to the humble inclusionary beginnings with a few Scamps.

All RV and owners are welcome and the more the merrier.

Fiberglass of course makes the most sense for me but they do not want to exclude anyone at all.

Mark, There is going to be an eggfest in Sept. @ Letchworth State Park near Rochester. That should be one on your radar.

Wow, somebody was having a day!!

Tim, cool. I checked the SOI website but it did not say that it is for this year or for last year. Some of the rallys have last year dates on.

Tim, can you please give me a link to that information about the Letchworth Eggfest? I know the park and has been there years ago.. about 15 years ago.

For state park, as we found out recently, you have to pay campground fee, registration fee! And entrance fee! All three is too much.

We just got our first Scamp. We want to attend the rally in Sebring 2013. How do I know what camp sites will be for the scamp camp?

Sheila, I think at this point you will want to get any site that is available. They go fast and it really doesn't matter where you are, there is usually someone from the rally that is camped close by.
