Scamp customer service

A while back we all heard of a person who had problems with his new Scamp.
If the matter was resolved I must have missed it.
I just had a great experience with Scamp.
I wanted beige Ratfur on the walls of my lil Bigfoot and it is not available on the West Coast.
I had to order it through Scamp. The shipping was $30.00 more than the Ratfur.
The shop doing the work told me to order 15 yards of material meaning lineal yards based on a 72" width.
I ended up with 8 lineal yards because unknown to me they sell in square yards.
They resolved my problem by charging me for the additional Ratfur and shipping it at their expense.
I know the shipping cost them over $100.00.
Am I a happy SCAMPER? You bet!
John

The complaintant in question received a new Scamp... delivered to him in TN, and exchanged at Scamp's expense. The more you know, the more you can be amazed at Scamp's willingness to accomodate their customer's needs and to go at least an extra mile to meet them.

Thanks for posting that. We just ordered a '13 and I do hope that the quality is good and that they will make things right. Have you had any problems with your '13?

My scamp is a 13 deluxe front bath and it was close to flawless when I received it. The brakes needed adjusted and there was a tiny rip in the front window gasket. I adjusted the brakes myself and they promptly sent me a new front window.
The only other thing was that I saw what I thought was a thin spot in the gelcoat when the light was just right, about the size of a saucer... they sent me the material to make the repair, but I never used it, and after a couple coats of gelgloss the spot disappeared.
7 years later and my 13 is still in great shape and still nearly flawless.
I have done many mods and refits on my trailer and many others and Scamp has always proven to be prompt, friendly and reasonably priced when I needed something.

My Scamp is 20 years old and I have been always able to get what ever I need from Scamp.

It has not been the case with Casita. With Casita I wanted a spare tire cover for a 1995 Casita. They responded after a couple of emails that they no longer support provide this cover, while Scamp immediately supplied one for a 1991.

Another Scamp feature that I like is their on-line store. In the Internet age I can not figure out why Casita does not have an Internet store.

Scamp Customer Service

I Have a 1998 Scamp SD I bought used. It had a porta-potty in the front. I installed a Sea Land flush toilet in that room. I did not by the toilet from Scamp. I called them and they were very helpful and supplied all the parts I needed. Their prices were competitive with the local RV stores, and shipping was prompt. Kudos to Scamp a costumer friendly company.

That's terrific. It sounds to me like there are plenty of "Happy Scampers" out there; and we intend to join that lot in May, Lord willin' and the creek don't rise, as they say.

It's great to hear about the new Scamp delivered to the TN owner. I missed seeing that too, and am glad to know it was resolved admirably.
