Scamp, distance from ground to doorway

Just wondering how far it is from the ground to the inside of a Scamp 13'....like, how tall/big is the step? Just wondering if I need to come up with a "porch" to help these bones get in and out.

When the right side tire is NOT raised for leveling the distance is close to 12". Which makes it a pretty good size step. Of course if have to raise the right side to get the trailer level it's more. Therefore I use a step that had two heights, about 3" or about 8" height. You can see it here or at the manufactures site.
It's a bit spendy but has lasted for over 6 years and still going strong.

Since the new axle (w/22.5* down start angle) mine is almost exactly 12", an easy step for me but for my 5' tall wife it's a little stretch so I'll probably build a small 'step box' that'll be used for miscellaneous storage when not needed as a step. The current 12" is opposed to the 7", maybe 8" with the old axle -

We don't have a Scamp but, for our Egg Camper, I have a box with a hinged lid and a piece of doormat (those plastic finger-like things) on it. I have a hasp to keep it closed and use the box for miscellaneous storage.
