Thank you for the update John! It was indeed a sad day here when we learned about the fire. I'm glad things are moving forward to get scamp back up and producing trailers. Please keep us updated as thing progress.

Hey I'll be at the Grand Opening if it's in late August. I could detour to Minnesota on my way back from Alaska.

We just today finished the last plug needed to get the custom shop back up and building trailers. The plug still needs to have a mold cast from it then we can get the parts produced. Things are moving ahead,it sounds like the new factory will be up in a few months.

John,
Thanks for the good news, how are the buildings coming?

Joy A,
Now that would be a real extensive "Andy Earthman" type road trip!

Hi;

A gathering would be great. We would love to come. But a time and place would have to be picked soon. I know our Summer is filling fast. We have two weekends in June filled, two or three in July, one in August, and one in September. I bet others are the same. My guess would be 30 to 60 trailers would come. Some have bathrooms, some don't, some only camp where there are full hook-ups, and some of us are ok with a flat spot in a field.

Good luck

In case you haven't looked for some time, the Scamp Trailer Manufactuer has some new pictures on their web site. progress is being made.

It is such a nice day here today, I think I'll go for a little drive and check it out myself...might as well pick up a few small parts for my maintance bin as long as I am there.

Jim

oooh new pictures on the Scamp site. The 16 footer is ready to be "molded." Look at that shiny black! And they've got a 5th wheel in the works

Good for them!

Plus, it's interesting to see how they're making the plugs for the molds!

Those molds look like a lot of effort has been taken to make them perfectly fair, and the new 16s that come off them will reflect that detail that the older ones lack somewhat.

Our Scamp 16 was due in March of this year. We got a call yesterday, and we are first in line for the 16'. They expect it to be complete mid to late June. Post-fire unit #1! We are so excited.
