SCAMP Mini-Motorhome & Matching Trailer

There is a SCAMP Motorhome on a Dodge chassis currently listed on eBay. The seller also has a matching 13' SCAMP he is selling.
Posted here mostly for interest in the few Scamp motorhomes that were built.

Actually, I thought it looked pretty nice. I am not in the market for a MH, but I do like the smaller ones. One on a Toyota chassis would be "sweet".

Unfortunately the few that were built were all on Ford or Dodge chassis.

FWIW: Toyota motorhomes are fast becoming a bag of worms. The 4 cylinder chassis are at least 26 years old and getting long in the tooth and the V6's (1989-1994) can be so fraught with service issues that they are downright scary.
I have owned five, four Sunraders and one Dolphin... I'm out.

I wished I had the cash to buy that. That is awesome, towing a Scamp with a Scamp.

The Sunrader built on the Toyota Chassis has room in the engine bay for a Ford 289. I have a 289 sitting in the garage... fast small block! And much better than that dog 4 cylinder which is scary slow going up hill... even an ant hill!

Nice choice, but the late GM V-6 with a T-5 five speed is a much easier fit and, at least in CA, is a legal swap w/fuel injection. If I ever find a 1988 Sunrader Carmel, that's what I will build. (BTW: There are only two, 17.5' Carmels known to exist)
