Hi,
Looking forward great camping in our "new to us" 95 13 foot Scamp. I was wondering though where the rock guard gets stored when you take it off? Is there some trick place to keep it or does it just go into the tow vehicle? I've looked in the Scamp manual and can't find a reference to it. Is it supposed to hang up with a support? I forgot to ask my seller this question. Thank you, Mike

I just leave the one on my Scamp on, and turn it into an awning, ala Joy A. The only thing I want to redo is make the supports longer, so the awning is in a more "up" stage for more light. Instead of using stainless steel pipe clamps, right now I'm just using small zip ties... I'll change that too when needed:

Scamp Window Cover, How do YOU support it?

Just for something quick and easy, I tie a short length of rope between the upper hangers on the guard itself, just long enough to loop over the propane tank, so the guard hangs slightly above the ground beside the right side of the tongue (our jack is on the left side). It keeps it out of the dirt and shows off the Scamp name a little.

Thanks for another idea. Mike

I usually tuck mine above the battery box against the egg shell. It fits it nicely. But someday I'd like to do what Donna did!
