Scamp Will Trade

We have a 2010 Scamp 16 footer for sale and although we have had serious discussions with potential buyers, we have not been able to sell it. If we are able to sell it, we will purchase a Scamp 5th wheel, mainly because we want a larger bed.

The other day, while looking over some Scamp materials, we noticed a reference to Scamp taking trades. So, we called and talked to them about it. Yes, they do make trades for new orders, but we did not feel it was enough for us to go for it. We will continue to try to sell our 16 footer, but since we are leaving for a 3-4 month trip to Alaska, I doubt we will be able to get a 5th wheeler prior to that trip which will begin in early June.

Anyone on this list ever make a trade for a new Scamp?

Beckyruns, We have a 2005 16' Scamp Side Dinette. The too narrow bed has been the only feature we are displeased with. But we have somewhat solved the problem, starting in Aug 2009, my wife & I started to sleep "Head to Toe". It gives us a little more room. Enough to sleep well.

Rgrugg are you concerned about flatus or foot oder?

No! Haven't had to resort to a gas mask. We do have a shower after all, as for the former, it isn't any of your concern.

Haven't been kicked or kicked her yet as well.

They will get it back as cheap as they can get it. We asked what they would have given for our 03 13' then I told him what I got.

Hi,

Hi,

We have a 2008 Scamp 16 with a side bath and forward bunks, floorplan #4. We also found the main dinette bed narrow on a three week trip from
Michigan to Portlad, Or. and back in 2009.

I made up a bed filler board to support the cushions forward of the table and the bunks, from the factory they just "fly" out that direction. This made all the cushion area usable. Big difference. We also revised our sleeping positions to put our heads on the curb side. The cabinet on that side is shallower than the stove/ fridge counter/ cabinet on the street side. This allows my shoulder and elbow to project forward over the newly supported cushion area . Big difference.

We did a 37 day trip from Mi to Alaska last August. Bed "room" was never a problem. I am 5'8" and 190. My wife is 5'5" and 122.

I can send pics if you need help or a pattern for the board.

why don't you describe it with pictures and your asking price here on fiberglass RV. All things being reasonable it will be a dim memory in a few days.

Joe, you should re-post this in the Fiberglass Trailers Wanted forum, where more folks will likely see it.

(We will remove your post from this thread, so you won't have multiple postings of the same content in multiple areas of the forums.)
