You might have better response if you had a more descriptive title, such as "I need a little rat fur." Many people who scan the forum but do not read every message will skip over this thread, even if they have lots of rat fur lying around. Not to mention those who have chosen to ignore your posts. But you have your own way of doing things and won't change. Plus it is too late to change the title. So this advice (to use descriptive titles) is not for you, but for others on the forum.

You're quite right, Gordon. It's helpful to all (poster and readers alike) if titles are specific. It makes it easier to search for topics later, too.

And so, I've added the specific phrase to this thread's title.

Do you need a piece about 2 inches wide by 3 feet long?
Is your ratfur tan in color?

I just dug around in the loft of my shop and I found a small piece. It is 33 inches by 2 inches.
If that will do, you can PM me with your complete name and address and I will mail it to you.

There is at least 2 different versions of the tan rat fur. The stuff used in my 1986 Scamp 13 is a tighter ball type knit and the newer type that looks more like the fuzzy side of velcro. The 2 dont match. I bought some from Scamp for my 1986 Scamp and it didn't match.

The material you describe is OZITE.
I have seen only one Scamp done in Ozite. It was a 1986 5er.
My guess it was a transitional experiment since 1986 was the year in which ratfur was introduced.
