I am fairly new at shopping for a used camper, but has there always been such a huge problem with so many bad scam listings?? It just seems to me like there are more scam ads then legit ones. I just wonder why they chose to use the fiberglass trailers as their bait.

I don't think it's just the fiber one's. I have seen scams talked about on the stick built forums. I have heard of boats, atv's etc as well. It's just some people are way screwed up and think they have to steal to get what they want. That's all. It happens in all segments of society. And basically if money changes hands there is always someone who is gonna figure away to get some by screwing someone else out of theirs. I wouldn't want that kinda Karma for nothing. Hopefully being honest gets us somewhere. Robin

Unfortunately, online scams are rampant in many sectors. I've witnessed a high volume of scams while shopping for a used car below $5000.

Wink

I guess this is just hitting me, being a new buyer. I am so glad to have found this website, it has been a saving grace, I have learned so much. I could have easily been duped into a bad deal if I had not read about the scams here.
