Seams in Ensolite in a Scamp

Hi all, in the process of our refurb of our new Scamp we want to replace the "tape" that covers the seams on the Ensolite. Is this a special kind of tape or is it just normal double sided tape? I see on the Scamp website that they sell it but if I can just pick up a roll locally that would be a bit more convenient.

It was originally double-sided foam tape (at least in the Boler); then, to deal with the sticky side facing into the camper they dusted it with talcum powder. So really, a single-sided tape is better, in my opinion.

The tape from Scamp is sticky on one side only.
I've used it in several Scamps I've refurbished.
One piece of advice if you use it. Use a hot glue gun as the tape doesn't stick well to the Ensolite.

Oh, sorry, yes, I should have clarified that the tape Scamp sells now is one-sided.

John, that's good information on the tack factor of the Scamp tape. I had wondered because it was much less expensive than seemingly comparable foam tapes from U-line and others. That leads me to imagine the others are higher tack.

(U-line does have a fairly good tape selection.)
