As follow-up to the previous posts by Gary L. and Gina who showed us their Fender Stratocaster electric guitars, I thought it might be fun to post some photos of our other musical instruments. Show us what you play at home and when you are traveling!





Here are some of my favorite instruments:

Mele Kalia soprano ukulele (2003)

We had a great time playing guitars together around the campfire at the 2005 Oregon Gathering at Bullards Beach State Park, and I look forward to the opportunity to share some songs at the 2006 Oregon Gathering as well!

In 2004 Barb and I stayed in the municipal CG at Louisbourg, Nova Scotia. It is on the docks right by the commercial fishing boats - a perfect place to knock out some sea shanties (i.e., "Fiddler's Green") on my 1915 vintage Wheatstone English concertina. Unfortunately, FGRV's new program doesn't seem to accept photos from my source (never had this problem prior to the hacking incident).

I love it too. Michael, what goes with the old 80Kb rule? I'd love to be allowed to increase the size of the pictures I post. This is a prime example (among others). What's the explanation, please?

The new software makes thumbnails on the fly so I increased the allowed size. The thumbnails make it possible for people on dialup to still see pages easily.

The truth is something about 700 px to 800 px is the most efficient use of bandwidth and storage space. People on dial up still have a hard time seeing the really large photos.

I decided to give this a try and see if it get abused or not.

I'm posting for my husband Mike. I'm the photographer so never get in any of the photos.

He plays Martin 12-string. (Sorry no pic.) He also places Djembe drums and many kinds of wind instruments: flute, picalo, ocarina, Native American flute, bamboo sax, clarinet, etc.
