Our new (to us) Lite House. So far, I've installed a drain in the ice box and replaced the water tank vent. I still have to replace the screen door gasket and figure out why the AC outlet is wired backwards (neutral and hot reversed). Other than that, everything seems to work. I'm wondering what the raised fitting that runs across the middle of the top (front to back) is all about.

Trailer: 1983 Boler
Posts: 11
Thought I would introduce our Onion Carriage as I have been lurking for a while and finally posting. It's Winter and I am missing camping. Can you tell?

We have had our 1983 Boler for a few years and jumped right into camping. Right away after purchasing it, my husband took off the strange rock guard mud flaps screwed to the front and repainted the whole camper. His friend had the contract for painting FedEx trucks so it is now shiny FedEx white.

He also added a bike rack/trailer hitch to the back and welded a bunk bed frame for inside. This year we hope to redo the inside and remove the kitchen. I love the photos I have seen here with the small table and two bench seats at the front instead of the bunk beds. We will be doing that and then turning the whole back into a bigger bed.

Here are 2 photos of our camper at our very favourite Provincial Park- Pancake Bay. They are of the trailer looking in from the beach during the day and at night with patio lights.

Thanks for all the information I have read and learned on this site!

Tony, (post # 408) I'm very interested to see what your black walnut cabs look like - I assume you're referring to the wood from a Black Walnut tree, and not walnut that's been painted black (which would be a sacrilege !). The exterior looks great. Maybe you could post some photos of it all?

hello everyone ... just getting started here and already, i appreciate all of your valuable advice and insights and support! i saw on the Sightings thread where someone commented that i "had the fever" ...

you are correct!!! when i first saw these little beasties, i wanted one RIGHT NOW! i saw folks talking about looking for six months or even a year!

i just dont have that kind of patience and i decided i needed one yesterday. we haven't vacationed since getting married two years ago and i wanted to take back my freedom and get out there and enjoy all of the beautiful place this country has to see - but at a reduced rate!

short story long ... i decided for whatever reason (after reading hundreds of threads/pages and taking lots of notes) that i had to have one of those cool little U Haul CTs.

well, late last week i got a tip (a huge thanks to Greg!) at 10am about a U Haul in Riverside. by 11am i had borrowed a truck from an office mate (i dont even have a TV yet!), and was on the 7-hour trip south. hasty perhaps, but i took the advice i got and decided not to let this one get away.

a mere 16 hours later ... i returned home with our new (old) egg! i was delirious (initially from excitement, in the end, from sleep deprivation and a couple of short-cuts gone wrong), but very happy. i got it site unseen, saw it in the dark, the trailer lights didn't work, etc ... but it was a good deal and the glass and trailer are in good/solid shape. interior ... well, gonna need some love. ok a lot of love, but its all good! we have you fine folks and all of these amazing online resources - and - we have a CT '13!

we decided on a name (i only had 16 hours to come up with it!) that represents the new freedom this little fella will afford us.

so without any further adieu ...
we proudly present

"The Bald Eggle"

Hello all my name is Rob in case you didn't figure that out already. Anyway just thought i'd drop by and post a pic of our 1979 Boler. Our Egg is equipped with a toilet, shower, 4 burner stove/oven, hot water and 3 way fridge/freezer. I just purchased a new fresh water holding tank that i'll be installing in a few days prior to our highly anticipated camping season.

cheers

I posted earlier, but here is my Snow-white Dinosaur Egg with tug on its first camping trip, a dry run to a full service RV park, two weeks ago in Oilberta. I'm happy to say it's a winner!

Hi: All... Here's a pic. I snapped in Beckley W.VA. at Tamarack Conference/Craft center before I got to wet. This is a "MUST SEE MUST EAT" venue!!! Overnite "Boondocking" allowed.
The weather cleared nicely in Virginia tho!!! We really feel for all the flood victims in Tenn.

I have been on the forums for a while, don't think I have ever posted in here.

We have a 1977 Beachcomber 13'. We bought it last summer and use it quite often. Travel regularly around Western Alberta and B.C. Since we bought it we have replaces allot of wood inside, new floors, seats, doors and paint. We are about to repaint the outside as well. The previous owner painted over the awesome metal flake gel coat as it was all faded. We hope to someday restore it back to its original metal flake glory!

here is a pic from last weekend in Golden B.C.
